In 2003 I began to question whether transitioning was in my best interest, both physically, and emotionally. The pre-testosterone diary chronologies how I began the journey to accepting myself, and ultimately, how and why I made the formal decision to to transition.

The changes I experienced during months 19-21 of my transition were mostly attributed to a greater mental perception of myself as male.
I have been on testosterone for almost 14 years. I started testosterone injections January 7, 2005, had chest surgery January 5, 2006, and had a full hysterectomy on December 7, 2008. I was granted a court-ordered name and gender change and am looking forward to continuing this journal.
I hope that this journal of a female to male transition will shed more light on the experiences that accompany the FTM transition. Will be celebrating 14 years on T in January 2019!
