Standards of Care

Standards of Care for the Health of Transsexual, Transgender, and Gender Non-conforming People

Clinical guidance for healthcare providers

The Standards of Care for the Health of Transsexual, Transgender, and Gender Non-conforming People is provided by the World Professional Organization for Transgender Health. They are often called the “Standards of Care” or SOC for short. The guidelines are provided to recognize the diverse needs of transgender individuals, while at the same time, providing clinical guidance to healthcare individuals. The SOC are flexible guidelines that may be tailored according to the needs of each individual.
More more information regarding the current (7th) version of the Standards of Care, visit https://www.wpath.org/publications/soc
